Goldfinch is an original contemporary artwork from The Fractured Menagerie, the debut series by the O&A Collective, the collaborative practice of artists Jonny Fyvie and Zoë Moss.

The series explores the tension between the polished identities we present to the world and the more unpredictable realities beneath them.

Words from the artists: "As the foundational piece of the series, Goldfinch explores the sheer exhaustion of projecting absolute perfection. The bird represents a silent, persistent weight, an imperceptible burden. The painting forces a fracture, exposing the raw, vulnerable human effort required to hold a heavy reality, however the light winged visitor may seem."
