THE FRACTURED MENAGERIE: The merging of graphic art and photorealism

The O&A Collective (Oil & Acrylic) was founded by Jonny Fyvie and Zoë Moss. This collaboration plays with the stark juxtaposition of two distinct styles.

At the core of our practice is the tension between the simulation and reality. Jonny constructs the manufactured facade, immaculate, flat, two-dimensional acrylic avatars heavily rooted in graphic and urban aesthetics. Zoë shatters them. Using master-level, hyper-realistic oils, she tears geometric windows into the pristin surface, revealing the raw, breathing human truth trapped beneath.

Our debut original series, The Fractured Menagerie, serves as a direct critique of modern identity and the "curated self". Within these portraits, the animals represent the uncontrollable rawness of the human condition, actively fracturing the flawless masks we project to the world.

Following a sold-out collection with New York's prestigious Krause Gallery, The O&A Collective continues to explore the profound psychological weight of the masks we wear, and the visceral realities we suppress.
